Having studied law at the University of Birmingham and completed the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in York, Rebecca undertook Articles with Simmons & Simmons. On qualification in 1993, she worked in Simmons & Simmons corporate department for 3 years before moving in-house to Visa International Service Association.

Having re-located from London to the North West, Rebecca joined First Software UK Limited (the former Local Government division of Oracle Corporation) where she worked with Mark Roberts.

Rebecca now advises on various technology law matters including outsourcing, software supply and support agreements and IPR issues relating to Second Life and other virtual worlds.

Most of Rebecca’s spare time is spent with her twin daughters and young son who for the time being have rather curtailed her love of travelling! She also enjoys cooking and mountain biking and is a member of the Society for Computers and Law.
